‘How to Create a Highly Engaged Team’ in Edmonton
Outside it was one of the coldest days of the year in snowy Edmonton, however, inside the room at the Royal Glenora Club was just heating up in anticipation of hearing Don Van Meer, President of Carswell a division of world-renowned media and financial data company Thomson Reuters in Toronto, ON.
Don was the main speaker at the late afternoon Leadership Forum. The room was ‘a buzz’ as guests networked and participated in the many hours d’oeuvres and fruit punch. This set the stage for Don to live up to expectation and talk about ‘How to Create a Highly Engaged Team.’ One of Don’s key points in his talk revolved around Carswell’s four company values in action. They are; Customers deserve our best, Quality shows in our products, Integrity lives in our people, Balance is essential.
Logan Day (Partner Ernst & Young) was masterful as the MC with his light hearted humour and his passion for leadership. He encouraged all in attendance to consider joining one of the two upstart LeaderImpact groups in Edmonton and Sherwood Park, AB. As a result, 16 attendees indicated an interest to enrol in one of the groups!
This is what some folks had to say about listening to Don Van Meer;
“Keep bringing in awesome speakers…”
“Excellent”
“I loved it”
“Great speaker got more than I expected”
