John Neate

John Neate is a coffee aficionado. Having first joined his grandfather and father in the coffee business in 1979, John founded JJ Bean Inc. in 1996, which has been voted Vancouver’s best coffee chain for the past three years. His passion and unwavering commitment to quality has seen this business grow from 2 stores and 12 employees to 10 stores, 180 employees, and multi-millions in sales in 15 years.

John credits good teamwork over an individual effort for his success, and believes that leaders should “Never Lead Alone”. He shares how investing in people’s lives has paid off. He also shares how his search to fill a spiritual void led him to God and has given him a greater purpose and meaning in life.
